Hire the machine, sell every serving, keep the takings. A popcorn machine or a candy-floss machine for school galas, kindy fairs, sports club days and church markets around Porirua and Wellington. One flat hire price, no cut of your sales, and extra supplies by the pack so you can price the stall before the day. Not sure how many you’ll sell? Return any unopened extra packs with the machine and you won’t pay for them.

Candy floss needs a dry, sheltered spot and both machines need a sturdy table, so most outdoor stalls add a gazebo and a couple of tables. Hire them with the machine and it all comes in one collection.

Good things to know
Yes, that’s the point. Set your own price and keep every dollar. The hire is a flat price with no share of your sales.
Start from last year’s stall if you have one, or your expected crowd. Each machine comes with at least 25 servings; add popcorn packs of at least 40 for $30 and candy floss packs of at least 25 for $12. Unsure? Round up: any extra packs you return unopened come off your bill.
Popcorn, yes: after 5–6 minutes to warm up, each batch takes about 2 minutes and you can keep them coming. Give the candy-floss machine a 20-minute rest after each hour of spinning, which suits a stall that runs in bursts anyway.
A standard power point for each machine. Plug them straight into the wall rather than a shared multi-box, and keep them off the same circuit as an urn or a heater. Running both? Use two separate sockets.
Only under cover. Candy floss needs a dry, sheltered spot out of the wind, and neither machine should get wet. A gazebo with its walls on solves both.
A responsible adult, at all times. The popcorn kettle and the floss head get very hot, so children buy at the front of the table and stay clear of the machine. We give you simple instructions at collection.
We can’t promise any food is allergen-free. If allergies matter at your event, tell us in your message and display your own allergen sign at the stall.
Yes, subject to availability. Collection from Porirua is free, or ask for delivery and we’ll quote for your venue before you book.
A deposit of 20% of the hire, minimum $20, holds your date and comes off the total. You don’t pay anything when you enquire.
