Privacy statement
Last updated 7 September 2026
Playday Party Hire Limited, trading as Playday Party Hire (NZBN 9429053912817), respects your privacy. This statement explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number where supplied, party date and suburb, requested hire items, preferences, collection or delivery preference, delivery address when requested, and any message you send us. Providing this information is voluntary, but without the required details we may not be able to respond, test demand or arrange a booking.
If you ask us to remind you about your party date, we collect your email address and that date, along with the hire option and suburb where you give them, and a record of which emails you agreed to receive.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, check availability, provide a quote, arrange and manage your booking, take payment, resolve any booking issue, and meet our legal obligations. We never sell your information.
Party reminders and updates
We only email you about future parties, new themes, packages or sales if you have asked us to, and the two are separate choices — asking for a date reminder does not sign you up for anything else. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing [email protected]. We do not send unsolicited commercial email, and we do not share your address with anyone else for their own marketing.
Who receives and stores it
Your enquiry is received and held by Playday Party Hire Limited. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare and enquiry emails are delivered using Resend, so those providers may process the technical and personal information needed to provide their services. If you ask for a party reminder or updates, your email address, party date and preferences are stored and sent using EmailOctopus. When an enquiry arrives we also send ourselves an alert in a private Discord channel containing only your name, party date and the package you asked about. Their systems may be located outside New Zealand. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and performance, including page views, referring websites, approximate country, device type and page-load performance. We also count a small set of website actions, such as package clicks, form starts and whether an enquiry was successfully delivered. These analytics events do not include your name, email, phone number, delivery address, party date or message. Our own analytics do not use cookies and do not track individual visitors across websites. Cloudflare processes the technical data needed to provide these reports.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure visits and how people use the site. It may store cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location and interactions. We use these reports to understand site use. Google may process this information on our behalf.
Advertising
When we are running Google Ads, our website includes Google's advertising tag. If you arrive from one of our ads and then send an enquiry, the tag lets Google tell us that the ad led to an enquiry, so we can work out which ads are worth paying for. To do that it stores a cookie in your browser, and Google may use it to recognise the same browser across other websites in its network. The advertising tag does not give Google your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, party date or message. You can turn off personalised Google advertising at Google My Ad Center, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as reasonably needed to manage the booking, handle any follow-up, and meet tax, accounting or legal requirements. We then delete or securely dispose of it. Reminder and update details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at [email protected]. This is also the contact for our privacy officer and any privacy concern.
